So, you stumbled upon my guilty pleasures.

Drawn by Tattau
Sure, I keep up with the Razorbacks. I didn't have a choice, really. My father stepped out of the delivery room to check the score to the Arkansas-Southern Methodist University football game. Of course the Hogs won!

I sold hot dogs at War Memorial Stadium as a kid and watched the Hogs play the University of Texas and all of those other Southwest Conference teams those many years ago. I actually had a paying ticket with my dad and brothers when Jesse Clark ran for five touchdowns over Baylor. I saw Quinn Grovey lead the Hogs over the (at that time) unstoppable Houston Cougars with one of my good friend's future wife.

Although I enjoy the Little Rock scene, there's definitely something special about going up the hill to see the Hogs on campus. I watched Madre Hill run for five touchdowns over South Carolina not too long after the Razorbacks joined the Southeastern Conference. In 2011, a former student of mine brought me up to see Arkansas crush my alma mater, the University of Tennessee, 49-7 after Joe Adams dropped at least seven tacklers on his way to returning a punt for a touchdown. It made up for the day I watched the Volunteers beat Arkansas 63-20 in Neyland Stadium, and almost atoned for Stoerner dropping the ball in front of me while I sat in the UT student section in Hog gear when Tennessee won the 1998 National Championship. Maybe Coach Petrino will take 'em to the promised land! GO HOGS!
